JBA Agritech has launched the worlds largest AQUAPONIC system for the Government of Abu Dhabi at the Zayed Agricultural Center, part of the Zayed Higher Organization for Humanitarian Care, which emloys more than 20 people with special needs. The project produces 25 tons of tilapia fish and around 400,000 head of lettuce a year. Dr. James Rakocy, from the Aquaponic Doctor and the inventor of the UVI Aquaponic system was in Abu Dhabi as a consultant for JBA Agritech and gave the go a head for the start up of the system, which is fully functional and producing at the moment.
